Our travels take us northwest to the great state of South Dakota where we'll visit the Badlands, the Black Hills & Mt. Rushmore! En route we'll make a stop at the Badlands Nat'l Park where you'll see some amazing landscapes before continuing on to Wall Drug Store. Wall is known for it's Fresh Cold Ice Water as well as lots of shopping opportunities. Upon arrival in Rapids City, we stop at the Borglum Historical Center where you'll learn the story of Gutzon Borglum, the sculptor of Mt. Rushmore. Afterward we head to Mt. Rushmore where you'll have time to explore. Then we'll enjoy a Tour of Wildlife Loop Road at Custer State Park. This road takes you through rolling prairies & pine covered hills offering the best spot in the region to view native animals in the wild. Tomorrow we'll visit the High Plains Western Heritage Center and then enjoy a guided tour of Deadwood. Day #5 has us headed to the Journey Museum and then on to the spectacular Crazy Horse Memorial. On our way home, we'll make a stop at the famous Corn Palace before continuing on home.
