Itineraries

The shows, attractions and meals listed on our itineraries are the ones for which we currently hold reservations. However, changes in the featured performers or availability of attractions, are changes over which we have no control. If changes occur, we will do our best to book shows/meals of comparable quality and to advise you of those changes when they happen.

Payment

One Day Bus Trips: No deposit is required; however, payment in full is due 60 days prior to departure. If you make your reservation 59 days or less prior to departure, payment is due at time of booking with a credit card over the phone or a check in person. If you do not make your payment by the due date, you are subject the reservation being cancelled. All one-day tours become non-refundable once payment is made.

Broadway Day Trips: Full payment is due at time of reservation either via Credit Card or by check in person at our office. Tickets are non-refundable.

Multi-Day Tours: A $200 per person deposit is due within 20 days of making your reservation. Travel Bucks may not be used for deposit and will be applied towards the final payment which is due 60 days prior to departure. Failure to make your deposit or final payment without notice, will result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of deposit. We highly recommend the purchase of travel protection should you need to cancel for a covered medical reason.

Departures/Pickups

Please indicate your choice of pickup point at the time you make your reservation. Also specify if you're traveling with a friend/companion. If you are late for your pickup, you may drive to the nearest pickup location and board the coach. Unfortunately, "No Shows" will not be granted a refund for any portion of the tour. Please refer to the time printed on your original confirmation as that is the departure time.

Passengers

In order to provide maximum comfort for all our passengers, Peoria Charter has adopted a No Smoking / No Vaping / No Alcohol policy on all PCC Tours. We will make rest stops approximately every two hours for your convenience. Appropriate clothes and shoes must be worn when attending lunch/dinner theatre shows. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for all our tours. Each passenger is allowed one suitcase free of charge on extended trips. An additional personal item is also permitted but must be carried by the passenger. Minimum age for passengers on PCC Tours is four (4) years of age. Special needs MUST be discussed with the office when you reserve.

Insurance

Peoria Charter recommends purchasing a travel protection plan to help protect yourself and your investment from the unexpected. Consider travel protection for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay and more. Insurance information is enclosed with your confirmation. If you would like to enroll, mail your form and payment made out to Peoria Charter directly to Peoria Charter or call us a 309-688-9523 to add this insurance to your reservation and make payment by credit card.

Cancellation/Refunds

Beginning January 1, 2026, Peoria Charter Travel will be implementing stricter enforcement of our cancellation policies. While we value your business and strive to provide flexibility whenever possible, we must ensure fairness and consistency by adhering to the policies outlined at the time of booking. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these policies to avoid any inconvenience.**

**These policies apply to Peoria Charter Travel motor coach trips. Suppliers such as Collette, Mayflower, Premier World Discovery and others have their own cancellation polices.

Peoria Charter Travel highly recommends the purchase of Travel Protection Insurance on all Multi-Day Tours. The insurance rate will vary based on the per person cost of your tour and your age at the time your purchase the policy. A travel insurance policy flyer will be sent to you (mailed or emailed) upon making your multi-day tour reservation. To purchase the insurance, please complete and return the form along with your payment. Note: We do require your Date of Birth to process the insurance. This insurance is non-refundable once purchased. It is coverage for a cancelled Medical Reason only.

Cancellations for ANY reason received after final payment will result in a 100% cancellation penalty and no refund will be given. If you purchased the travel insurance, you may file a claim to be reimbursed if you cancelled for a covered medical reason and can provide the proper documentation to the insurance company.

If you must cancel the morning of departure, please contact us at 800-448-0572, ext. 130 and leave Rose a message to let her know which tour you are cancelling. If you have purchased the Travel Insurance, you will need to initiate a claim for your refund from Travelex Insurance.

On a Multi-day Tour, if you cancel prior to the final payment, you’ll be charged a $50 per person cancellation fee and the remaining amount of your deposit will be refunded.

One-Day trips, there will be no refund given once final payment has been made. You may find a replacement for your trip or if we have a wait list, we’ll be happy to call and try to resell your seat. If we can resell your seat, then we would be able to refund your reservation.

Gratuities

If you feel your Driver and Tour Hosts have done an excellent job, it is appropriate to tip them. We suggest $3 per customer for the Driver & $3 per customer for the Tour Hosts on a one-day trip. We suggest $4 per customer per day for the Driver & $4 per customer per day for the Tour Hosts on multi-day trips.

Inclement Weather:

If there is inclement weather forecasted or happening, Peoria Charter Travel will only cancel the trip if IDOT closes the highways or if the venue cancels the attraction. If you reserve a seat on a trip that departs in the wintertime, you are responsible for payment of your trip regardless of the weather. If you do not feel comfortable driving yourself to the pick up point you can find someone to go in your place. If you choose to cancel or no-show, no refund will be given if the tour operates.

Registration

If you're filling out the registration form from the book, please mail it along with your payment to Vagabond Tours, C/O Peoria Charter Travel, 5901 N. Prospect, Suite 3B, Peoria, IL 61614. Please make your check payable to Peoria Charter Travel. If you prefer to call us and make your reservation, you can reach us at 309-688-9523, Ext. 130 or 800-448-0572, Ext. 130. We can take MasterCard, Discover & Visa over the phone for your payment. If you'd like to stop in, we are at Junction City, (next to the old Pumpkin Glass), 5901 N. Prospect, Suite 3B, Peoria. We are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM unless otherwise posted on our door.

Invoices/Email Blasts

We do require your e-mail address to send you the invoice, itinerary and if necessary, the insurance information. We will also periodically send out e-mail blasts about upcoming trips that need help for them to go. Your Vagabond Escort will ask for these on trips and if you’ve already given it to us, just pass it along to the next person.

Trip Cancellation/Refunds

We do our best to get you a refund however a lot depends on when the cancellation occurs. If you cancel 30 days or more from departure date, we'll refund all monies paid with the exception of the insurance policy; that is non-refundable. Once we make final payment, it depends on what we can get back from our vendors to determine your refund. With this being said, we can't always tell you what you’re going to be refunded as we may have to wait and hear from the vendors first. You may always find a friend to take your place and work out any payments with them on your own. On Multi-Day Trips we STRONGLY recommend purchasing the Travel Protection Plan associated with your specific trip. This would protect your money should you need to cancel for a medical reason. On Broadway Shows & Baseball Games, we have to pay for tickets about 90 days prior to departure so if you cancel you may incur a fee for the ticket if we can't re-sell your seat as they are non-refundable when we pay for them. If we can re-sell them or get money back from a broker we use, then we would refund what we can.

Gratuities

Our Drivers & Tour Escorts appreciate a tip for a job well done. We have envelopes that the Escort will pass out; one for the Escort & one for the Driver on each trip. We suggest $3 per customer for each on a one-day trip and $4 per customer per day on a multi-day trip. They work very hard to make sure you have an enjoyable, safe trip.

Notes

We have a policy of "No Smoking / No Alcohol" on the bus. We make stops about every 2 hours for your convenience. Seats on the bus are first come – first serve. Luggage for Multi-Day tours will be 1 Large Suitcase (not weighing more than 50 lbs. per person for underneath the coach and a personal item for the overhead inside the coach.
