Shawnee Wine Trail

This 2-day adventure takes us to the Shawnee National Forest area where we'll visit 5 wineries and enjoy taste testing at each.  Upon arrival in Alto Pass we stop at Von Jakob Winery & Brewery for lunch & tastings.  Von Jakobs offers incredible views of the southern Illinois landscape with a picturesque backdrop of the Shawnee Nat'l Forest.  Our next stop is at Alto Vineyards for a self-guided tour and wine tastings.  Following this tour, we head to Bald Knob Cross for more tastings and then to the Peach Barn Winery & Cafe.  Here we'll enjoy a light dinner and more wine tastings and learn the history of this historical barn.  Tomorrow we'll enjoy a Continental Breakfast and time to relax a bit before we arrive at StarView Vineyards where we'll enjoy a light lunch and wine tastings.  StarView is a family owned winery nestled in the hills of Cobden.  Our final stop on this tour will be at Blue-Sky Vineyard.  Anchoring the eastern end of the Shawnee end of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.
